Our mission is to help families rest, reconnect, and thrive by providing gentle, personalized in-home pediatric sleep coaching that builds confidence, supports independent sleep, and creates lasting change for the entire family.
.
At Coast 2 Coast Sleep Training, we don’t just teach babies to sleep — we help families rest, reconnect, and thrive.
We believe that sleep challenges are deeply personal, and that real, lasting change happens when support is personal too. Every child, every family, and every home is different. That’s why we specialize in gentle, in-home pediatric sleep coaching, working with families where sleep actually happens—not just on paper or on a screen.
Why In-Home Sleep Coaching Works
Think of it like high school algebra: what helped you more?
An instructor writing an equation on the board, reading the textbook alone, or having a tutor sit beside you, explaining each step as you solve the problem?
Sleep works the same way.
Books, apps, and virtual advice can offer helpful information, but they can’t see what’s happening in real time. They can’t notice subtle cues, environmental factors, or minor missteps that quietly derail progress. And they can’t step in at 2 a.m. to help you adjust before patterns become habits.
In-home coaching allows us to:
When someone is right there beside you, learning becomes clearer, confidence grows faster, and progress feels achievable.
Personalized, Real-World Strategies
We don’t use one-size-fits-all methods. Your coach observes how your child falls asleep, transitions between sleep cycles, and responds to change. From there, we develop a custom sleep-training plan tailored to your child and your parenting style.
That plan is:
We focus on creating routines and habits that make sense for your life — not idealized schedules that fall apart the moment something unexpected happens.
Real-Time Adjustments Matter
Sleep isn’t linear. Regressions, growth spurts, illness, and developmental changes happen — often without warning. Instead of waiting for a follow-up call or wondering if you’re “doing it wrong,” we’re there to make real-time adjustments as things unfold.
This immediacy prevents frustration, builds trust in the process, and keeps minor issues from becoming overwhelming setbacks.
Hands-On Parent Coaching
Our goal isn’t just for your child to sleep better — it’s for you to feel confident leading sleep going forward.
We don’t take over. We coach, explain, demonstrate, and support so that, by the end of the process, you understand the rationale behind each step and feel confident continuing on your own. Confidence grows alongside your child’s independence.
Emotional Support That Matters
Let’s be honest — sleep training can be emotionally challenging.
Having someone physically present offers more than education. It offers reassurance, calm, and encouragement when emotions run high. We normalize what’s happening, explain why your child is responding the way they are, and help you stay grounded and consistent when it matters most.
Our Gentle Approach — and Why Crying Happens
We use proven, gentle sleep-training methods. Gentle does not mean “no crying,” nor does it mean leaving your child to cry uncontrollably.
Crying is a child’s primary form of communication. When routines change, children may protest, not because they’re in pain or distress, but because something feels unfamiliar. Our role is to guide the process so that any crying is short-lived, purposeful, and supported, leading to peaceful, lasting sleep.
Support That Continues
We don’t disappear after the first good night.
As your child grows, their sleep needs change. We stay connected, offering follow-up support for naps, regressions, transitions, and significant developmental milestones. Sleep is a journey, and we walk alongside families as it evolves.
The Bigger Picture
When your child sleeps well:
That’s the impact we care about.
If you’re ready for a sleep plan that works in your real life — not just on paper — we’re here to help.

Chris Hinkley has spent nearly three decades walking alongside families through some of their most vulnerable and exhausting seasons. Since 1997, she has dedicated her career to supporting parents, nurturing babies, and restoring calm to overwhelmed homes.
Chris began her healthcare journey as an LVN, where she discovered a deep passion for infant and family care. That calling led her to in-home pediatric care, postpartum doula work, newborn care specialization, and eventually pediatric sleep coaching. Over the years, she has worked side-by-side with thousands of families, learning firsthand what truly helps babies sleep and parents feel confident again.
Through her overnight doula practice, After The Birth, Chris developed a gentle stretching method of sleep training that supports independent sleep gradually and respectfully. As her experience grew, so did the needs of the families calling her. Many were desperate for faster, practical solutions. Chris immersed herself in research, tested methods hands-on, and refined a toolkit of effective techniques that now help many babies sleep through the night in as little as 72 hours—without sacrificing responsiveness or trust.
What sets Chris’s work apart is the in-home component. By working directly with families in real time, she can observe sleep environments, catch small missteps, and adjust plans to fit each child’s temperament, family dynamic, and lifestyle. Her approach is collaborative, empowering, and deeply personal. There is no script, no one-size-fits-all solution—just thoughtful guidance and steady leadership.
Chris is also a certified instructor for Gentle Ventures, helping train the next generation of newborn care specialists and sleep coaches. Her professional development continues through ongoing study and mentorship with respected leaders in the field. She brings both deep experience and steady compassion into every home she serves.

Charity Espinosa brings warmth, intuition, and steady leadership to every family she serves. Her path into pediatric sleep coaching began through mentorship with Chris Hinkley, where she trained side-by-side, learning not just the mechanics of sleep training, but how to support parents with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
From the very beginning, Charity stood out for her natural ability to connect with families and to lead with calm assurance. Her deep understanding of infant behavior, combined with her gentle presence, quickly made her a trusted and sought-after in-home sleep coach.
After relocating to the Atlanta area, Charity continued working closely with Chris while supporting families across the Southeast. Over time, their mentor-student relationship evolved into a true partnership. Together, they recognized the need for hands-on, in-home sleep coaching to serve families nationwide.
Charity’s approach blends heart and strategy. She believes sleep coaching should feel supportive, not overwhelming, and that parents thrive when they feel seen, heard, and guided rather than instructed. Supporting families through those early, challenging months isn’t just her work—it’s her greatest joy.

Coast 2 Coast Sleep Training was founded by Chris Hinkley and Charity Espinosa with a clear mission: to help families achieve real, lasting sleep through personalized, in-home support.
With decades of combined experience in newborn care, postpartum support, and pediatric sleep coaching, Chris and Charity lead a growing team that serves families nationwide. From Long Beach and Las Vegas to Atlanta and beyond, Coast 2 coast Sleep Training brings calm, confident guidance directly into the home—where real change happens.
At Coast 2 Coast, we believe in empowering parents, not replacing them. We don’t rely on rigid programs or generic plans. Instead, we walk into each home with a toolkit, a trained eye, and a genuine desire to help families succeed. Every child is different. Every family is unique. Our role is to honor those differences while guiding families toward sustainable, healthy sleep.
When families rest well, everything else feels more manageable. We’re honored to be part of that journey.
